What are the Laws Regarding Window Tinting in Georgia?

In Georgia, window tinting laws are governed by the Georgia Motor Vehicle Safety Standards Act. This act sets the minimum and maximum allowable levels of light transmittance for vehicle windows.

The front side windows must allow at least 32% of light to pass through, while the back side and rear windows must allow at least 14% of light to pass through. The front windshield may have a non-reflective tint strip on the top 6 inches, but no other windows may be tinted with reflective material.

When you get your windows tinted at Royal Treatment, we’ll answer your questions and make sure you’re complaint with all local laws and regulations on automotive tinting.
